Kingston has been a real surprise, so many people say not to bother as theres not much to it and can be a bit dangerous, but I’ve had some of the most unique fun experiences here. After checking out Kingston Dub Club that week, we took a look at Kingston night market on the Tuesday, full of good food, good people and good music. Plenty of ital food to try and had a little go on a home made coconut chalice with a japanese rasta. We also did an ital cooking class with Veggie Meals on Wheels.
Loved meeting Ibbi and his family, they welcomed us to their second restaurant, taught us many new things and we all ate together by the sea. They then took us and their family to Inna De Yard, well known reggae guitarist Earl Chinna Smiths frontyard, Ibbi called it the chalice palace, which it was. Full of rastas, young and old, and thick layer of ganja smoke in the air, people took turns on the mic and spinning reggae vinyl, a surreal experience I’ll never forget. I’d take a trip back to Kingston just to visit them again.
